If you are looking for super fancy food, this is not your place; however, if you are a fan of breakfast (American style) or of Mexican- influenced dishes, give Joe's a try. We had a gorgeous taco salad enhanced by a "special" salsa offered by our server. Our resident pancake expert gushed as his entree arrived, "ooh, they're buttermilk!" The sausage gravy is nicely spicy and their coffee is great! The staff were very pleasant, not the fastest, but very knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, it was an excellent example of comfort food, diner style.

Best biscuits and gravy in town! My husband and I love this restaurant! Mostly because he loves spice and lots of flavor, and I love simple foods. They have something for everyone!

Not too shabby. It's a Mexican breakfast place, which is kinda weird but it was good they were super accommodating, but they forgot my grandmas coffee a few times. It's good, but not my favorite place for breakfast. I would give it a shot though.

They work hard for the money. The parking area is sufficient. Walk in and sit down. People bringing water and asking you what you want to drink almost as you are sitting down. Our order was taken within minutes and was served in less than 10 minutes later. There was plenty of food, and all was excellent. The total bill for two of us, including our drinks, was $19.10. Adding to all that, smiling faces and happy workers were a bonus. Our waiter had a great attitude and was very perky. We had to give him a $5 tip. This was our first visit, on our way to a morning meeting in St. Joseph, with a quick stop for breakfast. Loved it and will go back.

This place was great for breakfast. The food is delicious and the service was some of the best I've ever had. I'd go back without hesitation. We had a large party of 10 including 4 young kids and they were very accommodating.

Awesome food, great service. Rod, our server is Joe"s nephew and it's a family business that's doing a great job. We had the #1 and the #4 Joe"s special; which was delicious and huge but I ate the whole thing. They also serve lunch and dinner.

Excellent restaurant if you're looking for a breakfast place. Comfortable seating, nice atmosphere. The service was really good. The waitress was very helpful and friendly. Water was refilled often. Within ten minutes my order came out. Food wise, there are many options. I had their vegetable omelet and it was large, very filling portion. Overall, I was very satisfied with this restaurant and I would recommend it to anyone!

It does not look like it from the name, but good Mexican food (for MI), and amazing breakfast burrito.

Great breakfast for the family! Mexican skillet was awesome! Little girl loved the Mickey Mouse pancakes! Wife enjoyed the veggie omelet very much! Decor is chill and homey Mexican style. When we come back in town we'll try the lunch!

Very nice breakfast spot. Very friendly staff. Good, hot food, and plenty of it. Prices are reasonable. We used to frequent Dino's, and struggled for a while to find a new favorite place. We think we have found it in Joe's.

My wife and I frequently eat-in at Joe's and when her health deems it necessary, I take-out from here. It is a wonderful family place and you are made to feel most welcome by everyone. The food is always good, their breakfasts excellent, and their home-made soups worth taking home a gallon. The service is good, fun, sometimes quirky, and always dependable. Come with a big appetite and be prepared to get your monies worth! It is not fancy, it is just the place to come when you want to be served excellent food well...and if they do get something wrong, they will over-exert themselves to make it right!

Best place in St. Joe/Stevensville for breakfast..hands down. The service has always been great for us and the good is prepared quickly and comes straight to your table in no time. While the location is odd in a strip mall, it's well worth giving them a try. Watch the local mail max for a $2,3, or $4 coupon each week. Try the Souther Joes Skillet....hidden on the menu, you won't regret it!

This is a special find in Saint Joseph. What looks like a strip mall greasy spoon is actually one of the nicest family dining cafe's going. Come for breakfast as they have the best but also make sure you go for lunch and dinner as they have incredible specials. Always check the local newspaper for coupons. Finally, the customers are all like family! They will talk to you and greet you as well as they staff. I went in there the day of the Notre Dame / Michigan football game and the entire place was having a lot of fun with that. So, get off the beaten path, come to Joe's and enjoy! The only reason they did not get 5 stars is the location. You do have to go out of your way to get there .. but it is well worth doing.

The food was decent but not spectacular. It did not taste fresh. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the restaurant was clean. Be prepared for bright, bright yellow walls. Parking could be a challenge as there are only a few spots in the lot for the whole strip mall.

I was very impressed by this place! I am used to most little cheap breakfast/lunch spots like this using all premade, canned and frozen food but these guys cook! Food was mostly made from scratch, soups were delicious!

Best place for breakfast in St. Joe! I love the breakfast burritos. Everything is fresh. For lunch they have homemade soups which are very good. I love that you can have a choice of fresh fruit or potato. Restaurant is very clean and friendly attentive staff. Prices are very reasonable. You won't leave hungry. I always leave with a box.
